Fabmac Talks With Marketer Danielle Miller
Danielle specializes in marketing businesses on Facebook, Twitter, Google+ and Pinterest. She believes entrepreneurs are the heart and soul of a more stable economy. Danielle’s goal is to help small business owners grow their companies. Here are some questions we asked Danielle.
How did you first hear about Fabmac and meet our team?
How long have you been in business and what got you started in the first place?
My husband and I moved to Maui in January of 2011. After a year of networking on island and speaking with local business owners, I realized there was a huge need for reliable and results-oriented social media marketing services. In August of 2012, I officially opened Miller Media. I’ve always had a passion for marketing and a knack for technology. Originally from Massachusetts, I went to Bryant University where I graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Marketing. However, there were no social media classes offer during my time in college. Instead, I consider myself a self-taught social media marketer.
We know you host a Women’s Mastermind Group at Fabmac. Can you tell us more about that?
My search for a warm, welcoming, and encouraging support group led me to create Miller Media Mastermind in the summer of 2014. The goal of this eight week marketing training is to help women overcome the fears and frustration of marketing their business online. We meet on Wednesday afternoons at Fabmac. Our meetings are part group training and part networking. I love that we can gather around the dining room table at Fabmac. It sets the scene for a intimate and friendly environment where everyone feels comfortable to ask questions and share stories.
You made Maui your home some time ago. What’s your favorite thing about living in Maui?
Since moving to Maui over four years ago, I have absolutely fallen in love with this beautiful island. Coming from the east coast where it’s frigid and cold 8 months of the year, I am thrilled to be in a warmer climate where I can spend more time outdoors.
My favorite thing about Maui is the abundance of activities. Last year, I started paddle boarding. This is a great chance to get out into the water. I also enjoy hiking in the jungles and forests. This is such a fantastic place to live and I feel there’s still so much left to explore.
